The Great European Adventure…

is well under way!!!

I can’t believe it, I am in Vienna Austria.
Granted, I have no idea what time it is really. My clocks say 3:00am, some clocks here say 9:00am.
All I know is I saw one of the most beautiful sun rises of my life despite being in the middle of the airplane, and then promptly had a jack and coke thanks to the wonderful Polish girl who was sitting beside me on this flight.

Our mutual agreement to entertain each other started early on in this journey as I was passing out before we left the gate in Toronto… literally. I was doing what I became oh so famous for in school, the passed out head bob. Though she thought I was going to be hanging my head in her personal space the entire flight.

Communication lines were opened shortly after I actually gained consciousness and realized I’d missed my first on-flight snack… seriously, who would pass on a bag of crackers/pretzels that contained heart shaped pretzels and house shaped pretzels?! My multiple failed attempts to gain the stewardesses attention peaked my neighbours interest enough for her to yell out and obtain me a bag.

The start of a highly entertaining flight, if I may say so.
The pre-cursor to this journey however starts with – in my humble opinion – my single solitary “genius” piece of writing: “If this is where I wanted to be, I wouldn’t spend all of my hours trying to figure out where to go next.
This life is a puzzle and I won’t fail to solve it. I may run out of time before I figure it out, but I will not admit defeat, I will not be satisfied with that ‘comes to me’. I WILL make my destiny, I WILL make the world a better place. Just give me a little more time.”

So here I am, at whatever god-damned time it is sitting on the brightest green metal chairs I’ve ever seen, surrounded by weird money and foreign languages wondering just what I will experience in the next two weeks. It is experiences like this that make me seriously wonder how skewed our lives have become when we are so content with staying in one place, doing the same thing day after day, week after week, year after year. I have evolved, and changed so much this year, and these experiences are things that I think are quite necessary to my personal growth and enjoyment of life.

I ought to thank a lot of people for supporting my wild adventures of this year, but I also ought to think about that one a little further, as right now I’m way too out of sorts, and excited/anxious about what I journey I have started.

So at the moment, to my wonderful friends The Leonards – who are hosting me for my trek across the world – my wonderful Polish air neighbour Joanne – I hope you enjoy the time with your family in this depressing nature, but celebrate the life of your grand mother! – and my wonderful family and friends. Pictures will follow as I have the opportunity, as well as stories and poor writing to boot.

So goodnight to the old life, good morning to new experiences.

Keep peace, make peace, and don’t ever forget, we are the 99% and we will change the world!
